IKE STRIKES

we didn't get it too bad from the hurricane. many people did get it REALLY bad though! galveston was devastated! you couldn't pay me enough to live in galveston! we were really lucky! we just had some tree limbs down and the electricity and water were off for 3 days. i was in dallas so i didn't even have to deal with that. i enjoyed playing with the grandbabies! we are supposed to boil water until further notice. we have had a little bit of trouble getting gas, but not too bad. i think that's over now though. i think we need to count our blessings!

HERE COMES IKE!

looks like we arent going to be so lucky this time with hurricane ike! emily and i are now evacuees. we are in dallas at mandys house. steve refused to come. he didnt want to leave a few years ago when hurricane rita was coming, but he did because i begged him. since nothing happened to us then, he said he would never evacuate again! so hes going to ride out the storm with the cats! im not very fond of the cats anyway, but keep steve in your prayers. he will actually probably enjoy it because he is such a weather person. hes always wanted to witness a tornado. not me! i get out at the first sign that something is coming our direction! i dont get stuck in traffic, because i leave early enough. the best part of all this is that i get to spend time with my grandbabies!
