My MIL often forgot to call the kids on their actual birthday. They never minded. They knew she loved them, and it made their birthday stretch out a little longer. YOU ARE NOT A BAD GRANDMA!!

Carol,
I just got back on the blog circuit after a week or so of being off so I just got done reading all your posts I missed. Here's what I want to say. I too, love that flavor of bluebell. It's ri-dunk-ulous! I always get bluesy after a vacation ends or company leave as weel I try not to think about that during the fun parts but I find I'm always preparing for the "let down". And I am in no way being your friend (I hope you consider me a friend) to convert you. I think once one creates a blog it gives people a way to form a friendship with that person and that opportunity just wasn't there before! No alterior motives. Oh, and I'm pretty sure from what I've read you're probably one of the world's best grandmas. Seriously!

Carol, this comment has nothing to do with your post. I was reading Liz' blog, and I noticed you asked about Book Club. You should come! We have it at Sarah's house, usually the first Monday of the month at 10:00. This month it is the 2nd Monday - the 8th. We are reading 2 books this time - both short - so you still have time to read them and join us. We are reading "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens and "The Mansion" by Henry Van Dyke (which is actually a 30 page short story). You can either borrow the books from someone or buy your own. "The Mansion" might be hard to find, so call me if you need to borrow it. Or Sarah said she found it online and just printed it off. We have 8 to 10 who come regularly. Sarah and Jen come. Leslie is there. Plus a lot of others you probably know. It's a lot of fun. Let me know if you are coming and I will bring a copy of our reading list through June.

That's too bad you can't come. Have a fun trip!

Our meeting in January will be on the 5th at 10:00 at Sarah's, so put it on your calendar! We will be reading "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl. I will get you the list with the rest of the books, but at least you can buy (or check out) this one and get started for January.

I am, too, just getting caught up with your blog. I think you're one fantasitic lady. I had a great time driving up to Dallas with you. You sacrificed a lot to help me out & I hope you know how much I appriciate you. So like the others, I love to see you at church, & I love that I found your blog because I like you! I'm sure it's not a great feeling when you think people are just being friendly to convert you. Way to go for calling everybody out to find out rather than secretly wondering or not being friends with people because you're thinking that's why. You're awesome. I wish I were as bold as you & I hope to see more of you to get to know you better!

And also, to echo everyone else, you are a FANTASTIC gma.
